Incorporating ESG principles

The MFG board recognises its critical role in overseeing the company’s approach to ESG and understands the impact this has on the communities in which it operates, and the environment – including those related to climate change.

To this end, the Group is committed to integrating these considerations into its strategy, risk management framework and business model.

The Group is guided by the QCA Code recommendations on the integration of ESG in our activities, and by doing so we aim to ensure the Group not only meets its regulatory obligations, but also positively contributes toward the broader community and environment.

Conister Bank was the first of our companies to incorporate ESG principles in its reporting, and we plan to expand our ESG reporting to cover all of our operating subsidiaries.

This is in turn further supported by the Bank, which is now into its fourth year of ESG integration and provides the model that other Group subsidiaries are following.
