Website Accessibility

Our Commitment

At Manx Financial Group PLC (“MFG”), we are dedicated to making our digital services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We are continuously working to improve our website so that it is inclusive, user-friendly, and compliant with recognised accessibility standards. Our goal is to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, ensuring that our site is clear, functional, and reliable for all visitors.

Purpose

We want our website to be accessible to the widest possible audience. By following the WCAG 2.2 standards, we are taking steps to ensure that all users, regardless of ability, can access the information and services they need.

Scope of this Policy

This policy applies to all content published on www.mfg.im. It covers existing materials as well as any new or updated content, whether produced by our team or by third parties working on our behalf.

Accessibility Standards in Practice

We are designing our website to meet WCAG 2.2 guidelines, focusing on the following four key principles:

1. Perceivable

  • Text Alternatives – Non-text elements, such as images, include descriptive alternatives so that they can be accessed in other formats such as large print, braille, or screen readers.Multimedia – Captions and transcripts are provided where possible, ensuring that audio and video content is accessible.

  • Flexible Design – Content is structured so it can be displayed in different layouts without losing meaning or functionality.

  • Clear Contrast – Text and background colours are chosen to provide strong contrast. Text can also be resized up to 200% without affecting usability.

2. Operable

  • Keyboard Friendly – The website is fully navigable using only a keyboard.

  • Time to Use – Users are given sufficient time to read, navigate, and interact with content.

  • Safe Design – Content is created to avoid triggering seizures or causing discomfort.

  • Easy Navigation – Pages are structured to help visitors find their way around and understand their location within the site.

3. Understandable

  • Plain Language – Information is presented in a clear and straightforward way.

  • Consistent Experience – Pages behave in expected ways, so users know what to anticipate.

  • Error Prevention – Forms and inputs are designed to reduce errors, with guidance to help users correct mistakes when they occur.

4. Robust

  • Technology Compatibility – We work to ensure our site is compatible with assistive technologies and future user tools, so that content can be reliably interpreted.

Ongoing Monitoring and Improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time effort. We regularly test our website using automated tools, manual checks, and audits carried out by external specialists. Feedback from people with disabilities also plays a key role in helping us identify and resolve issues.
